Rock out with the San Diego Women’s Chorus concert Legends on November 16th and 17th, 2019! The show features popular and notable music spanning the decades by extraordinary women, including Ella Fitzgerald, The Go-Gos, Carole King, Sara Bareilles, Joan Jett, Alanis Morisette, Pat Benatar and more! Women so dynamic they don’t need a last name: Madonna, Aretha, Joni, Bjork, Keala, and Dolly! If you love rock ‘n’ roll, you’ve got the beat, you’re walking on sunshine, and need to express yourself after a hard week of 9 to 5, this concert performed by San Diego Women’s Chorus is for you!
Legends incorporates a variety of musical styles and genres- R&B, pop, jazz, folk and Broadway- and includes standout numbers from the popular contemporary musicals “Waitress” and “The Greatest Showman.” In the spirit of SDWC’s core values, Legends celebrates the women in music who have inspired generations of musicians and fans. The show reminds us that sharing our stories is a powerful tool against oppression and hate, and allows for a greater understanding of humanity.
This electrifying performance will take place on Saturday November 16, 2019 at 7pm and again on Sunday November 17, 2019 at 4pm at the University Christian Church, 3900 Cleveland Avenue in Hillcrest.
Tickets start at $20 for general admission, $18 for youth, senior, disable patrons, and military. VIP tickets are also available for just $30 and include premium seating in the venue. Same day tickets will be available at the door, starting at $25 for general admission and $20 for youth/senior/disabled/military.
