Women’s Chorus
The San Diego Women’s Chorus (SDWC) is a lesbian-identified, feminist community of musicians that welcomes LGBTQ+ and straight ally members and volunteers. Since its founding by 14 lesbians in 1987, the San Diego Women’s Chorus has strived to be a safe feminist space that encourages creativity, celebrates diversity, and inspires social action.
SDWC is proudly trans- and nonbinary- inclusive, welcoming women and people of other marginalized genders who sing in the Soprano/Alto (treble) range. As a non-profit community chorus, SDWC entertains and inspires audiences with music that highlights diverse themes, from human rights to world peace, from environmental harmony to cultural diversity. SDWC supports and affirms the music of women and LGBTQ+ composers and arrangers. Learn More
